It is a very pleasant place to be.
It is a very pleasant place to be. Nice characterful buildings and individual shops. The sandy beach looked clean, with safe swimming area. Plenty of good places to eat and stop for drinks. Hotels within walking distance of the shops and bay. Buses every 10 minutes around the coast to Margate and Ramsgate. Part of the Coastal Path. Dickens museum.

Beautiful seaside village, great restaurants, friendly vibes, amazing sandy beach, walking trails, great little gift & antique shops, very busy on the long weekend we were there, but it didn’t feel too crazy crowded, recommend visiting Broadstairs.

Really pretty, lovely clean sandy beaches. A small seaside town with only a small shopping area with small independent stores. Some nice restaurants. As with many seaside towns there are some closed down shops and more maintenance needed in places, a little jaded in parts. However the main town Beach, Viking Bay is one of the prettiest I’ve seen. Do not visit in the winter or when it is raining. The menu is very limited at weekends and if there is a function at the time of visit, you can forget about any available facilities in the hotel. Lovely coastal walk , went in winter I guess- march , but still a lovely walk and we were lucky with the bright days .lunch was lovely as was breakfast. There are lots of independent cafés, restaurants and shops, beautiful sandy beach. It’s easy to visit nearby coastal towns like Margate where you can visit the Turner Contemporary - highly recommended.AAnonymous

It is a short walk into town and has free parking. The room was spacious and clean, and the hotel itself is a magnificent building. The staff are friendly, efficient, but not overbearing. Breakfast offered an excellent choice of healthy, continental, or full English options. I had the full breakfast which was excellent. Good shower pressure There were two balconies with sea views which was very nice. Mirror light was a nice touch I asked for two extra pillows on arrival and was helped immediately which was great. I also had a question about the parking and was met with a very helpful and friendly receptionist.
